El Taquito Mexicano TruckOriginally I was planning to do a review on Kogi Truck, and trying to hunt it down via twitter…but my mission failed. I got really lost in Griffith Park trying to locate the golf course, either I was too late or I just didn’t spot the truck. =( But my mind was so set on having taco truck for dinner so I went to the alternative location and look for El Taquito Mexicano Truck…I know there’s no way I would miss them b/c they are on a set location unlike Kogi.  lalala..taco truck I was introduced to this place by my buddie from Yelp.com, we came here very late at night after an UYE (Unofficial Yelp Event) at Din Tai Fung. Those tacos were soooo good that I thought it was the best I ever had. I went back again and the tacos were still so good like the way I remember them.   Each taco cost $1.20 and drinks were $1.00 each, they also open really late so it’s also a good place for midnight snack. I ordered 4 different taco to try it out. I got carnitas (pork), cabeza (pork cheeks), lengua (tongue), and chicharron (fried spicy pork).      I really like the cabeza, it was the best among all, the carnitas and the lengua wasn’t bad too, but cabeza had the best texture and taste…melt in mouth type of soft and tender and the flavor was very full as well. Chicharron was interesting, it’s a bit crunchy and spicy..but the bits were too tiny, I think it would taste better if it’s in bigger chunks. There’s no table and chairs so everyone kindda stand either by the truck or on the side. And when you order, you order on the right window and paid on the left window when your order is ready. Wait is not long at all, pretty quick..I got my order in 1 min, granted there’s no wait at the time I went. I wish they are closer to me, then I can eat those yummy tacos whenever I want. Best taco I ever had!!!!

I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD….The food looks amazing!!!!
It’s probably the best Taco I had….it’s one of the favorite among Yelpers.
I should really go there since it’s down the street from my work. Should have let me know you were in my “hood” PK =P

Oh man this is in Pasadena and I didn’t even know about it!! Thanks for the post, I’ll have to look for this truck. I’m always so happy to find anything in Pasadena that’s open past 10 PM
This particular one is the BEST!!! Try the Cabeza.. ^^
I’ve driven by this truck countless times (always night time). When ppl ask me where the hell the truck is, I say “look for Nishikawa” – never knew the actual name of the truck. Good lookin’ out!
