Road to Seoul ![]() After hearing many of my friends rave about this place for months and months, my curiosity has reach the top of my limitation.. so I finally asked, “Who’s taking me to RTS??!!!” Surely I got an invite from KFP on one of the weekend, since both GP and I haven’t try it yet. After getting lost via GPS to K-Town, I finally arrived after 1 1/2 hr of driving from Irvine. Okay people, let me warn you..if you use Garmin GPS, it will have two selection for this address from different zip code, choose the second one!!! It took me to a weird route over to Long Beach, passing Queen Mary, Long Beach Harbor, Terminal Island, got on 47…ugh, at first I thought…mmm..is that a short cut to K-Town? Then I check GPS address several times and it was the correct address..but then I realized there’s two selections for different zip codes.. DUH! I should have trusted my instinct since I used to live in Down Town for what.. 5 years??!! This is what you get for relying too much on technology and don’t use your brain. *sigh* ![]() ![]() With all things considered that it is an AYCE kbbq, this is truly one of if not the best AYCE kbbq I have been to. And it’s all for $16.99, yeap..you heard me right, $16.99!! The AYCE selections include kalbi, chicken, beef brisket, pork neck, pork belly, road to seoul beef, beef tongue, sirloin, bulgogi, and even baby octopus. I think we ordered everything but bulgogi and chicken. For the first plate, you can only select up to 4 type of meat, then later on you can pretty much order any thing you want. Among all those selections, my favorite were beef brisket, road to seoul beef (YAY to the fatty meat!), sirloin, tongue and octopus. I was getting addicted to the baby octopus since it was so fresh and crunchy w/ slight chewiness. The pork neck and pork belly are pretty good as well.. mmm.. did I just name everything on the menu?? Pretty much..hehehe.. What really surprised me is the meat quality was superb! For AYCE style, it’s probably the best meat I have had. Especially the beef tongue, most of the place I had was rough and chewy but RTS was very tender and fresh. Banchan selection were alright, the Korean style potatoes salad was delicious, buchimgae (Korean pancake) was really good as it was still hot from the pan. Gaeranjjim (steamed egg) was also good, and it didn’t deflated like most of the steamed egg I had at other places. Service was a bit slow, we had to keep reminding them to bring us water. If I recall it right, it wasn’t very busy when we went b/c it was after the lunch rush hour and there were only 3 or 4 other tables besides us. So, don’t expect too much of service at the place, you might have to keep press the button when it’s busier. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal, excellent food, great company and new discovery for AYCE KBBQ.

Thanks for the report! I’m always looking for a solid AYCE Korean BBQ joint
You bet! It’s actually a great find…I wanna go back again, but it’s kindda hot for KBBQ now…
Wow, that was one cool friend to invite you to RTS =P
Glad you liked it, when are we going back? Late September?? =)
Hahahahaha.. yes, one cool friend that invited me.
Sure, we should do it again when it’s cooler.
Ah that was definitely one good AYCE place. Forget Mu Dung San or whatever place I used to go to now
The banchan and meat quality here is definitely way better. Come back up whenever you’re back from home and we’ll do it again!
