Spoon HouseOMG.. this place must been here for about 15 – 20 years? I remember coming here back in the 90s. =/ So what does it all means? Anything survive this long must be fairly decent to withstand all the test. It’s been so long since I came here, like 7-8 years since my last visit? It wasn’t b/c it was bad, it’s because it’s too far and I don’t usually come this way.
The Japanese Cod-Roe and butter sauce with Sea urchin wasn’t as flavorful as I expected. It was a little bit fishy and watery…I can’t even taste the sea urchin. I think Curry House still makes the best Tarako & Ikka. I also tried some Garlic Beef, that was very good, beef was very soft and tender and the garlic/Italian seasoned sauce has a nice kick to it. I didn’t try rest of the spaghettis, but everyone seem to like theirs. Service was nice, our food didn’t take too long and it was not crowded or noisy. I will probably return again soon to try other spaghettis, but only when I’m heading over that way. It sure is one of the must try for the Gardena area.

Yay, I’m glad you still think Spoon House is good. I did like my Barca D’Oro. Now I think I need to try Curry House’s tarako ikka and compare. I’m glad Kat suggested it that day because I had totally forgotten about that place even though I used to tell her how much I liked it
Awesome! I like spoon house, I used to go when I was living up in LA, and I almost forgotten that place too, it was nice to revisit some of the place that I used to go. =) Try Curry House’s.. it’s pretty good. ^^
Love the place and the bread, but I agree with the cold bread/butter comment. If they serve their bread cold, at least use spreadable butter? Why they don’t serve the bread warm, baffles me….
I know, I don’t get it.. they made the bread in house, why can’t they serve it warm?
Hi Princess Kitty,
Nice blog.
Thanks for the update on Spoon House! Like you, I went here once years ago when a good friend of mine from Tokyo was visiting and they heard about this place.
It’s good to hear Spoon House is still solid.
Thanx Exile Kiss =)
Ur blog is very unique as well..another level to most of the blogs out there, I’m not sure if I can eat as well as you but nice to see what’s in the other world.
